I'm a Dad and raised my son for 2 and a half years, I fully accept that this is my choice and as such some things I usually do will need rethinking. So for those of you out there with young children here are some suggestions for cafe's that welcome or are a better option.
Scorchorama (Scorching Bay) Summertime they have tables outside and there is a beach and rope climbing frame for the kids.
Bernie's (Freyberg Pool) Great as quick service and you can use the playground and beach nearby.
The Flying Bean (Petone) Lots of parking and kids can play in the beach.
Begonia House (Botanical Gardens) Large open space, also next to gardens so the kids can run around, bonus it also does wine!
Cafe ??? (Waitangi Park) Yes it outdoors but they do nice crepes and the kids can play on the climbing frame.
Frank Kitts Park - Lovely to sit down and enjoy a coffee on the waterfront, several places or vans selling coffee.
Days Bay Pavillion - Has toys for the kids to ride around
Chocolate Fish (Shelly Bay) - Outside play area and bikes, scooters and stuff to ride on.
These are just some of the places Monty and I have been made welcome, have had fun and do return to on our adventures.
