Matakana Anzac Day service cancelled citing 'terror threat levels'
The Anzac service organised by the Matakana War Memorial has been cancelled following police advice to merge services if RSAs felt security would be under-manned, after the Christchurch terror attack last month. The Matakana War Memorial encouraged locals to attend the dawn or 10.30am Civil Service in Warkworth, so the day of remembrance is not diminished.
