PRIVET
As a relative newcomer to Snells Beach, I am astounded at the amount of privet growing wild on the road sides - LOTS on the Warkworth to Snells Beach road.
As privet is well known as an allergen - hay fever, asthma and respiratory diseases - I would have thought that local residents would have made it priority to cut down and eliminate this pest.
PLEASE - please check your property for this - the hay fever count is high enough without adding privet (which is now flowering) to the problems.
If you are unsure what it looks like - there are some great photos on google images.
Thanks
Justine (who has recently savagely destroyed all privet found lurking in the undergrowth! :-) )
