Think our community needs to be aware of a possible serial predator lurking around the top of Pulham Rd and Bluegum.
Our young 16 year old boarder was attacked coming home last night after work at 8:20pm hes jumped out of the bushes in front of no. 8 pulham rd and knocked her to the ground. She has been lucky enough to fight her way free, and as shes ran from him he has pulled a knife from his pocket and continued to chase her past john andrews drive where he finally gave up. It has been reported to the police.

[Was wearing white hoody, grey tracks and black shoes age late 20 - 30s she wasnt able to see his face properly he had pulled cords in hoody so face was covered, medium build discribed as tanned wasnt able to distingush nationality due to no lights that part of pulham rd]
The worrying thing is i have seen other posts relating to similar incidents in town.
Please be vigilent i think this man has been surveying the area because my daughter has mentioned a suspious character who followed both girls home a week prior around the same time and has dissapeared down John Andrews drive also we believe it may be the same man.

To gauge interest, he hosted a free barbecue at a park with the support of their local New Zealand Police to bring neighbours together to discuss setting it up. Every group is different in how it chooses to operate. Our policy is whatever works best for your area!

“The ground is so dry and … View moreThe metal roads in Rodney are facing a tough time because of the long dry spell and inability to source water for grading.
Auckland Transport’s Road Corridor Delivery Manager North Len van der Harst says the effects will last until at least the end of the drought.
“The ground is so dry and hard we can’t grade the roads to remove corrugations and potholes because we rely on a level of ground moisture and ability to use watering trucks to wet the surface allowing the graded metal to bind and bond with the sub-surface of the road”.
“We share the frustration of the Rodney community, but unfortunately there isn’t much we can do while it is this dry and no water available for grading”.
He asks that motorists be patient, keep speed down, safely drive to the conditions and report any dangerous areas to AT.
