Hey film fans – Whānau Mārama: New Zealand International Film Festival (NZIFF) is on now in Palmerston North with 42 feature films from 17 countries screening at Event Cinemas, Palmerston North.
The programme is jam-packed with award-winning films from around the globe and a fantastic collection of New Zealand films.
Explore films that will open new windows on inner worlds, films to inspire passionate debate, and films which thrill, challenge and move you to laugh and cry. On until Sunday 5 December.

The Environmental Protection Authority announced this week that a proposed mine in Central Otago (near Cromwell) is about to enter its fast-track assessment process. A final decision could come within six months, and if it’s approved, construction might start as early as mid-2026.
