Monarchs
Hello everyone. We thought we were done with our monarchs for this year but I've just found 9 baby caterpillars on our last plant that I put outside with barely 3 tiny leaves left on it. As most of the shops are still closed, I have no idea where to get more swan plant for them to eat. Do any of my neighbours have any that I could maybe take cuttings from? They will not survive on these tiny 3 leaves. :( TIA. Keep safe and stay well. :)

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
