Plant these... stamps?
You read that right! Why not try something new this spring and grow your own collection of these special seeded stamps from New Zealand Post (philately sure is different in the 21st century). These gummed stamps are affixed with seeds (also available without seeds) and come with growing instructions. Available singly or in sets as well as miniature sheets and first day covers. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
