Eight years of athletic achievement in Central Southland
A rural Central Southland secondary school continues to punch above its weight when it comes to sporting prowess, winning the coveted Southland Athletics Konica Minolta Trophy for the eighth year in a row.
Central Southland College walked away with the top prize after 104 of its students competed in events from running and shot put, through to high jump and discuss, recording over 5000 points on the day – 2000 more than their nearest rivals, the combined Southland Girls' and Southland Boys' High Schools team.
