Food Recall: Kinder Surprise chocolate eggs

James from Waikanae

I haven't received the official recall notice from MPI, but this is from the RNZ website. Rather urgent at this time of year.

The manufacturer of Kinder Surprise chocolate eggs is recalling them from New Zealand shelves because of potential contamination with salmonella bacteria.

Street trees and the leaves they drop

John and Linda from Waikanae

To the person who decided rather than speak to me they would leave a message in my mail box, please have the backbone to come and chat. I did not plant the offending tree and am keen to keep the stormwater drain clear. The council do not sweep our street often enough. What do you suggest I do with the leaves ?

Poll: Would you participate in local initiatives aimed at stopping plastic from reaching our oceans?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Volunteers will be scouring the foreshore, riverbanks, and islands for rubbish on Saturday the 13th as part of the Clean Up the Hutt event.

This initiative helps stop plastic from reaching our oceans and makes our waterways cleaner and safer for everyone.

We want to know: Should this be rolled out across all coastal cities in Aotearoa? And more importantly… would you get involved? 💚

Want the details? The Post has you covered.
