Corona Virus----- My Ten Cents Worth

Ronald from Paeroa

An open message to the Prime Minister, the Police Chief and the Director General of Health.
To the PM first, do you not grasp the fact that thousands of Kiwis do not have access to the internet or own a smart phone. Until you do and realise that telling older people, or all of those without that access is just so much hot air. They cannot shop online, so please understand that these people have no choice but to shop in person. They do not all have someone to help out.
And changing day by day, what a person can do or not do, seems to me your advisors need to get out more and see how the average person gets by.
As for the Police Chief and his 'new form to dob in rule breakers'. What planet is he on, certainly not where I live, for sure. All the form does is supply the Police with the complainers personal details, and if they do act on a complaint, when they finally read the form, the offending event is long over. No wonder their system broke down with 4600 emails. Talk about Keystone Cops, this lot at the top also need to get out more often. Not so long ago we could call or phone the local Police Station, not any more. Have to phone 105 and wait no less than 30 minutes to maybe talk to someone, and usually get fobbed of.
Same with the Director General of Health, All types of workers, Police, medical staff etc. are calling out for PPE, but every day he tells the nation how much gear is on the storeroom shelves, but distribution is the problem. He is the boss, can he not use some logic, brainpower or whatever and instruct his staff to get 'A into gear', do the paperwork and get the PPE to where it is needed. All very well looking good on the shelf, but does no good at protecting lives.
So dear PM, instead of daily spin, let the people see some real action
