St. Margaret's, Silverstream Church Fair
St. Margaret's, Dunns Street, Silverstream are holding their annual church fair on Saturday 27 October 10.00 a.m. - 1.00 p.m. If you would like to donate goods - books, good used clothing, steptoe (no computers or TV's please), sort these out over the weekend and deliver them after Tuesday. Unfortunately the church does not have any storage until then. Now that we are almost back using the church building, this fair will include all the stalls we used to have 6 years ago .... crafts, linen, good china, gifts for all occasions especially Christmas. There are the usual stalls; plants, cakes, sweets, deli and of course the excellent Cafe. Thank you for your support.
Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
