Query: Forward Planning!
Speaking of increased road traffic (especially North of UH) reminded me that when Timberlea was established as a new suburb (mid 1970's), it was recognised UH North was in for a growth spurt. Land was set aside (by Government I presume) for an Intermediate School and dairy (Norana Rd), a Secondary School (Emerald Hill stage one) and a Hospital (Emerald Hill Stage ? Timberlea end). All those areas are now housing! Oh and one school closed! Seems can't get access to highway so not sub divided yet.
Demand for services has grown but facilities remain the same. Hence more vehicles needed to transport to existing sites. More residential areas are popping up throughout the UH area, but where are the services?

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
