Discarded fishing hooks, fishing lines on the beach
This is a message to the lady running to her car with her small dog, Friday late morning at Peka Peka beach, I was on bike and didn't realise the dog had a fish hook stuck in it's mouth when you ran past, I hope your dog got vet help quickly,it never occurred to me that there might be discarded fishing line's, hooks left on the beach.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
