A Bouquet to Metlink

Annette from Waikanae

I travelled into and out of Wellington today to spend time with a friend on her birthday. I wasn't looking forward to it as there were buses replacing the trains. Wow! What a wonderful job they did today. They had 2 buses going each way. One was an express, only stopping at Paraparaumu and Porirua. The other stopped at all stations. They each left on time and made it to their destinations in a very timely fashion.
They had people at Wellington providing information to everyone.
They receive a lot of brickbats, often for things not under their control i.e accidents.
I felt they deserved a bouquet for the service I received today.
A big plus was that I got to ride a double decker going into Wellington. I'm still a big kid at heart.

Poll: Would you participate in local initiatives aimed at stopping plastic from reaching our oceans?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Volunteers will be scouring the foreshore, riverbanks, and islands for rubbish on Saturday the 13th as part of the Clean Up the Hutt event.

This initiative helps stop plastic from reaching our oceans and makes our waterways cleaner and safer for everyone.

We want to know: Should this be rolled out across all coastal cities in Aotearoa? And more importantly… would you get involved? 💚

Want the details? The Post has you covered.
