The sighting comes months after the boisterous native parrots were seen cavorting in Pinehaven. Conservationists believe it's been at least a century since a permanent kaka population has existed in the Hutt Valley. Would you like to see the them return?

Wellington Anniversary Day - We are closed.
We wish you all a wonderful long weekend !
The popular Monthly Car Boot Sales will continue (even though our Monthly Garage Sales have ended, after thirty years!) on the first Saturday every month, starting SATURDAY FEBRUARY 1st at Upper Hutt Baptist Church's Community Centre, corner Fergusson Drive and Milton Street - very visible location! Site fees $15 - phone 528-3454 to reserve a site. There might be an option of an indoor space when weather is inclement with table provided at a slightly higher cost - watch this space!
A low cost cafe will be open inside the Community Centre from 9am, serving percolated coffee or a pot of tea and a piece of cake for $4 - good value! We might even have live music playing in the background. Come and try it out and let us know what you think.
