Poll: Are you willing to pay for a new museum for Tauranga?

Matt Shand Reporter from

Information provided to a Tauranga City Council workshop show the proposed museum will cost millions more than expected. One estimate has the building at $64 million, $12,562 a square metre.

Adding to the cost will be a glass floor overlooking a possible mass grave on Cliff Road.

Couple with a new library both buildings will add $128 to the average rate bill.
