Te Tohu Toi Tangata - Bachelor of Humanities

Meet Christina Nuku who graduated with majors in Indigenous Studies and Policy. Through Awanuiārangi, Christina experienced a 3-month exchange programme at the University of Northern British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. She shares “the exchange connected me with the Nisga’a people, First Nations tribal systems, communities and hauora programmes. It informed my studies and opened my mind. It was a genuine privilege to connect with the tangata whenua there, and an opportunity I would never otherwise have had”

“The difference at Awanuiārangi is the whanaungatanga. Our kaiako cultivated a supportive and nurturing environment”. Study remotely with us in 2021!

Te Puna Quarry Park is holding a GARDEN MINI-MARKET. Apart form plants there will also be some garden tools, furniture, ornaments, and some produce. Plus live music, Devonshire Tea, and a shuttle service to higher terraces for people who don't like the steep track.

We still have SPACE FOR MORE STALLS for plants or garden stuff. Bring your own table, gazebo, etc. There is no fixed charge for a space, but your donation afterwards will be appreciated. Contact us if you are interested.

The stalls will be mostly on the lawns, so that the car park will be available for parking - handy for bringing your goodies from/to the car.

Please note that the traditional Quarry Fest that was organized in November by the Bethlehem/Te Puna Lions
is not happening, unfortunately, due to uncertainty with Covid-19 looming over it.

LOCATION: Quarry Road, Te Puna, off State Highway 2, about 7 km north of Bethlehem.
CONTACT: tepunaquarrypark@gmail.com or info@quarrypark.org.nz (or 027-371 8720)
