Waiāri Water Supply Scheme
News to please Te Puke residents, this weekend the Te Puke Highway reopened!
Construction of a water mains along a narrow section of the road took five months, including lockdown. A huge thank you to everyone for their patience with these works. Work will continue for a few more weeks further along the road, the speed limit is still 50km/hr in this section.
The new pipeline forms part of the Waiāri Water Supply Scheme, a once-in-a-generation project to provide for Tauranga’s future water supply. Read more about this project on www.tauranga.govt.nz....
Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
