The NZ Transport Agency has developed a tool that shows predicted traffic flow across popular journeys based on travel patterns from previous years. It can be found here.

Because predicted peak times can change based on incidents, weather and even driver behaviour we suggest that you check here before you leave for accurate information about current road and traffic conditions.

The holiday journeys site shows the busiest areas through Bay of Plenty and Waikato are expected to be the Kaimai Range, State Highway 2 between Paeroa and Waihi and State Highway 2 between Tauranga and Katikati, State Highway 1 north of Hamilton at Taupiri, State Highway 1 south of Cambridge at Karapiro, State Highway 2 at Maramarua and the Coromandel on State Highway 25 at Tairua and Kopu Bridge.

When driving this Labour Weekend, take care to:
- Drive to the conditions, whether it’s the weather, the time of day or amount of traffic
- Take regular breaks to stay alert and ensure fatigue doesn’t affect your driving
- Keep a safe following distance from vehicles in front so you can stop safely
- Be patient - overtaking is unlikely to make a significant difference to your journey time due to the amount of traffic expected over the weekend.
- Allow plenty of time, remember you are on holiday and avoid the need to rush
- Check your car is in good "health" before you head off.

Here are some tips to make sure you and your loved ones are well prepared and stay safe:

1. Check the marine weather forecast before you go out, it could save your life! 58% of boaties already check it. We want the other 42% to make it a habit. MetService New Zealand's Marine App makes it easy.

2. Tests your life jackets. Pull hard on the straps and see if any of them stretch or rip. Check all over for any existing tears in the straps and any cuts or punctures in the life jacket. If yes, do not use the life jacket, dispose of it, and replace it. Always check if it floats before putting them on. Keep in mind kapok life jackets should not be used as they can absorb water and sink, their cotton straps also easily rip! Burn them or bin them, but whatever you do - don't use or resell them.

3. For this year's Safer Boating Week, boaties are being reminded to “Prep, Check, Know” - prepare your boat, check your gear and know the rules before going on the water.

Let's put in the time and effort to make sure there are NO water related accidents or deaths this Labour Day long-weekend! Don't forget to look out for each other and report any concerns you have to local authorities.

Unfortunately these photo's don't do justice of the water stain that was present especially in the master shower. Even though these showers were only 2 years old it had become impossible to clean.
This is becoming a common occurrence ie within 2 years Tauranga's hard water is resulting in lost glass clarity and it is impossible to make your shower look clean.
So if you do purchase a new shower, get it ClearShield glass protected immediately, not only is it less expensive to get done but you get 10 years glass clarity if you follow our after-care maintenance instructions, 5 minutes/week.

For a refurbished shower we can provide 4 years, which is great but 10 years is allot better!
So contact me today if you would like more information.

We bought secondhand 18 months ago, all parts in working order. The back drops down horizontal so child can sleep. Has net basket at bottom, clip for holding bag, safety strap, two brakes on wheels. Wheels are heavy duty plastic and can go on variety of terrains. We took it to Africa.

Only fault is some mould stains on the straps, see photo, we bought it like that but works perfectly well just stained. All other fabric in good condition.

Price: $40

Social climbers - the comedy - is touring NZ!

What do you call six women stranded on a mountain in the rain: ridiculous! Or you could call them social climbers … but just not to their faces! Once at the hut, not only do they unload their packs full of food, wine, and a souvenir rock; their hang-ups get unloaded as well.

Torrential rain and a flooded bridge keep them stranded for three days. What they get up to, to help pass the time, raises a few eyebrows and will have you laughing, tearing up and applauding enthusiastically as they bare all.

Of course, it’s not just souls that are exposed, there’s a little nudity, a cracking thunderstorm, explosions, screaming bloody murder, ghostly stories, a birthday celebration, a séance, a drunken party, confessions, meltdowns and revelations that will keep you and your friends entertained throughout.

Perfectly timed for your own social group’s ascent into summer, don’t miss this hilarious play when it comes to a town near you in November.

ClearShield Eco-System produces some amazing results and in this example reduced the Customers refurbishment costs considerably.
The question we all need to ask is why wait this long as glass like any other external building material requires protection from the environment.
New glass should be treated with ClearShield immediately because;

- not only does it reduce your future cleaning frequency and time to clean and cost to clean.

- also prevents glass corrosion and therefore maintains your glass clarity and viewing experience

- but also application costs are significantly less.

These are all the right reasons to look at ClearShield glass protection today.
