Communications from Tauranga City Council

About 60m of waterfront near the Tauranga Yacht and Power Boat Club at Sulphur Point will be fenced off from next week for an upgrade.

Workers will remove some old wire baskets filled with rocks and replace them with a timber-capped wall.

The new structure will be safer, and will allow people to sit on top.

The works are expected to finish in September.
