Prioritising maintenance of coastal structures

We’re proposing to amend our coastal structures policy to prioritise maintenance of the structures (e.g. seawalls and breakwaters) that protect essential public assets like water and wastewater pipes. This means we may not maintain structures protecting less-essential assets, like esplanade reserves with limited public access. What do you think?
