Brittany Morrow talks about the motorcycle crash that changed her life. Dressed only in basic streetwear, the 20-year-old fell off the back of a ‘bike travelling at 120mph and was partially skinned alive. Brittany speaks eloquently about what happened that day, the aftermath and how she now champions wearing the right protective gear on every ride. With trade industries taking on / employing apprentices, is it common practice for employers to ask these young kids, to contract to them, instead of putting them onto a payroll and paying them wages?
Surely it is a bit much to ask our kids, who are generally not long out of School, who have no experience working this way, and are looking to their new employer for guidance and training.
Surely to ask an employee to work under contract, you would expect them to be fully qualified and a few years experience under their belts.
I realise that this practise might not be illegal, but surely it's not ethical. To ask our kids to be responsible for their own Taxes and Acc levies etc, doesn't seem right to me.
Be interested to know how everyone else feels about this, or if they even know that this goes on.

Predator Free Taupo will be there talking and selling traps.
There will be face painting and good coffee being sold by Coffee stop.
PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN PULLING INTO THE SITE AND LEAVING BY VEHICLE, IT IS A VERY BUSY ROAD. BE SAFE !!!
