Thanks to everyone who came out to help plant trees and restore the natural environment of the Whau River on Saturday. We got new trees in the ground despite the rainy conditions and it was a great morning with the community.

Since launching my Million Trees programme in June, we have planted nearly 140,000 trees across Auckland - that's more than 1,400 a day!

Thanks to the Te Whau Pathway Trust, the Whau River Catchment Trust and the Whau and Henderson-Massey Local Boards for all their hard work.
