Here in Snells Beach and as a dog owner I find the proposed changes to the dog laws pretty draconian.  The proposed dog law is to ban all dogs from the beaches from 10am to 5pm.
We walk our dog on practically a daily basis, my wife at around 8am and myself around 4.30 pm.  Since this proposal has been made public we have been keeping and informal count of dog walkers verses others and dog walkers are by far in the majority. In my reckoning the present dog laws are more than satisfactory for our area where dogs must be on a leash over the summer period especially if there are lots of other beach users about.
Public submissions on this according to the council website will open in May 2019.

Next meeting Sunday 10th February 2019, then every 2nd Sunday thereafter.
HOWEVER, as this is a long gap due to the upcoming holiday season, we can have casual get-togethers in the interim period, as and when suggested. All ideas welcome!

A coffee morning/afternoon maybe? A walk on the beach? A general healing session? A film night? Look forward to your suggestions – let’s see what happens :- )
