Shooting Star or Flaming Ball
Hi neighbours.
Up late last night catching up on my programs. It was 11.10pm.
Out of the corner of my eye I saw a falling bright flaming ball/meteor/space debris
framed in the window pane from the north west Kaipara Hills area.
Quite large, fast moving, a ball of fire grabbed my attention in the night sky.
It fell to the ground somewhere.
It Must have made noise or caused a fire.
Have you information. I would love to see where it landed.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
