WoF alert – Peninsula Motors suspended from issuing WoFs
The NZ Transport Agency has immediately suspended Whangaparaoa based inspecting organisation Peninsula Motors and its three vehicle inspectors Graeme Jordan, Peter Flannery and Michael Urquhart.
NZTA is unaware of specific concerns relating to other individual vehicles however, due to the concerning admissions around Peninsula Motor’s inspection practices and there is a strong possibility that some vehicles may have been incorrectly passed. For this reason, they strongly encourage people who have a current Warrant of Fitness issued from Peninsula Motors to get their vehicle rechecked.
The NZ Transport Agency will contact around 1170 affected vehicle owners individually as soon as possible to advise them on recheck options. Vouchers will be provided and will be valid for six months from the date of issue. More information here.
