RIP Stainless Steel Sunbeam Frypan
After about 42 years of faithful service (that's about 6,000 meals) my frypan has finally given up. The controller has been repaired a few times but now the insulation around the element has cracked and broken away so it is time to say goodby to a great OZ/NZ manufactured product.
I have looked at current models and am not impressed. Before I am forced to buy what I consider to be an inferior new product (probably a Breville Thermal Pro Stainless rather than the Sunbeam Ellise Stainless Banquet), I thought it worth a shout out to see if anyone has an old Sunbeam stainless unit they may wish to sell or gift.
Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
