Major water leak in Snells Beach/Algies Bay
Residents in a large area of Snells Beach/Algies Bay may experience reduced water pressure tonight, as Watercare works to repair a major water leak.
This afternoon a leak near the corner of Mahurangi East and Snells Beach Road was reported. The leaking pipe needs to be repaired as soon as possible and some residents will notice a significant drop in pressure.
The work will begin at 11.00 pm to reduce impact on customers as much as possible.
Water will still come out of the tap, but at a very slow rate, so don't try and wash your hair after 11pm!

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
