Limited access to Orewa Beach
There will be limited access to Orewa Beach for the rest of the month until the work on replenishing sand is complete.
The council say that by replenishing the sand it performs the dual function of providing a storm buffer which acts to protect the beach from further erosion.
Fencing will start to go up today, in preparation for work commencing on January 22.
Do you think this effective, or do you have other solutions that you believe will work better?
