Congratulations to everyone involved in making this one of the most special evenings to be held in the village recently, over 100 people at a sit down dinner is no mean task and I also understand it has made substantial profit to boost the Sports Clubs funds - thanks guys for a great evening - it was very special!

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
