Christmas is a special time of year, especially for children. It’s really important that all of our kids can share in the joy of Christmas. Today I joined with David Tua to give out presents to the children at the Manukau Institute of Technology Children's Education Centre in Otara.

Big appreciation to the Trust that supported the first Otara Christmas Present Drop and helped bring some extra happiness into the lives of our kids there.

Last Saturday members of Friends of Alice Eaves Bush carried out maintenance work on walking tracks within the park. This work involves removing dead leaves from the formed tracks ( done with a blower) and also raking the gravel from the edges of the tracks, back into the middle.
