Nelson City Council has heard options from flood walls, to detention dams and a tidal gate could be used on the Maitai River flood plain and in coastal areas, to respond to forecasts of climate-change related flooding in Nelson. Managed retreat was also an option put forward by engineers. How do you think Nelson should adapt to predictions of more flooding?
