The Sunday Star-Times wants to hear from children about how they've been impacted by Covid-19 and lockdown. Perhaps they've learned more about hand washing and germs, or maybe they want to talk about having mum or dad home more often, or learning from home. Kids can write a sentence or two to be included in print by emailing kelly.dennett@stuff.co.nz, by Friday, July 10, at 5pm. Their first names and ages may be used in print. According to the June 2020 QV House Price Index (HPI) results released on Wednesday, Nelson’s values increased by 5.9 per cent over the last 12 months and 0.6 per cent over the last quarter.

The park covers 135 hectares of Tasman District Council (TDC) land, located 4km south of Wakefield, and is the first such location in New Zealand to accompany existing IDA-recognised Dark Sky Reserves and Sanctuaries in Aoraki-Mackenzie, Stewart Island/Rakiura and Aotea/Great Barrier.
Free "star parties" will be held on the evenings of July 11 and 12 at
the Wai-iti Recreation Reserve (weather permitting) to celebrate the announcement.
