Māori Language Week
Kia Ora Neighbours,
It's te wiki o te reo Māori.
Here at Stuff we're celebrating Māori Language Week by learning some daily te reo Māori words we can use in our every day life.
For example one of our words today was hoa meaning friend/s.
And e hoa mā means group of friends.
How are you celebrating or acknowledging te wiki o te reo Māori?
Some places have organised a Māori Language Week parade.
Should Franklin do something similar?
What does Māori Language Week mean to you?
Let us know in the comments below and share some more te reo Māori words that we can add to our vocabulary.

🛴 Scootie Helper – Little Trial Plan (Pukekohe only)
This is just a small idea I’m trying out while I’m in Pukekohe.
My wedding is coming up and I thought this could be a nice way to earn a bit of extra money and help people at the same time.
Nothing big or serious yet, just trial and error.
Where
Pukekohe only.
When I’m Available
Sunday to Monday
9:30 am – 3:00 pm
What I can help with
Small Grocery pick-ups
Dropping off parcels or post
Picking up prescriptions
Small admin things like posting letters or simple paperwork
Small event helper such as (setting up, helping during the event, packing up, (no heavy equipment)
Happy to do a couple of things in one trip if it’s nearby
(Just small, local stuff and nothing heavy)
Prices (trial prices)
I’m keeping prices really simple while I test this out:
$20 – basic errand
$25 – grocery + another small task
$30 – two errands or errands or admin help or event helper
If someone wants it weekly, we can just keep it easy and flexible.
Thank you
No negativity comments please
I can’t wait to see how this turns into ♥️

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
