Temporary closure of St Theresa's Catholic Church

Jo from Whitby

Message for all local and visiting Catholics who were looking for somewhere to go for Christmas Eve Mass tomorrow ... Please note that St Theresa's Catholic Church in Plimmerton is closed following the discovery of toxic mould spores after the November flood so all weekend services have been moved to the hall at Bishop Viard College, 20 Kenepuru Drive, Porirua in the meantime. Christmas Eve Family Mass is at 6pm tomorrow evening (carol singing from 5:45pm) and there will be a 9:30am Mass on Christmas Day - same location. Apologies to all for the inconvenience. Once businesses reopen in January we will be working to make the Church a safe environment again. Blessings to you all this Christmas.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
