A hydro-evacuation truck is clearing all of the sumps to ensure no possibility of silt getting into the stormwater system.
The water tanker is at the Mariner Hotel, extra water is also available on site if required.
Water is expected to be restored to the area by 4:00pm.

The burst has been isolated and water is off for Potts Lane only.
A bulk water tanker will be on site for water supply to the Mariner Hotel within 30 minutes.

Water is off at Potts Lane, Titahi Bay due to a watermain burst at 9:30am this morning. Crews are responding now, assessing the requirements for the repair.
This may cause low water pressure in the surrounding area.
Measures have been put in place to alleviate any silt transfer into the harbour.

I have been employed for 6 months or longer permanently but unfortunately this job is coming to an end at the end of year. I will be available every day full time except for Monday’s at this stage from early December. (After school term ends) I am also available during the school holidays and I am open to causal babysitting as well. The nursery will be selling a range of quality native and exotic plants, trees and shrubs that are sourced from local seeds and cuttings then grown on site.
Porirua City Council Nursery Manager Joe Clarkson says staff are busy preparing for the plant sale.
"Many of our usual customers come to the nursery because we stock plants people can’t get elsewhere and our prices are cheap - typically $5-$15 for smaller grades and $30-$150 for the trees."
