I've opened a new yoga and relaxation studio in Titahi Bay

Kia ora everyone. After having long Covid for over a year, I had to leave my job and change my life. I just wasn't getting any better. Anyway, long story short, I've retrained as a yoga nidra and restorative yoga teacher - relaxation! Gentle poses, breathing, and listening to a gentle guided voice basically saved me last year. Now I'm supporting others who need some relief from anxiety, stress, body aches, tension, and feeling *hitty. I teach from my own experience and I hope I can be of use. 5-class series BeCalm Yourself starts the week of 4 June. Wednesday night Yoga Nidra classes available too. Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
