Superannuants can help keep children warm over winter
Bill Gebbie can't stand the thought of children being cold over winter.
So the 68 year-old Porirua pensioner has joined the growing number of older New Zealanders donating to “Share My Super”.
The non-profit service helps Kiwis over 65 donate to a range of charities by giving all, or part, of their superannuation payment to a charity.
A former civil servant, Gebbie shares his super with the Wellington City Mission and KidsCan. With the polar blast that just hit the Wellington region, he says it’s good to support charities that help keep children warm and safe.
