Fancy a walk?
The Kapi-Mana News team has signed up to Steptember - we've pledged to each walk 10,000 steps a day while we raise money for Cerebral Palsy.
I'm going to take a 30 minute walk every day during September and would love a Porirua local to join me each time.
If you have a story, an interesting tale or a project you want to tell us about, join me on a brisk walk and let's chat.
As long as you're fine with me writing about our conversation then I'd love to hear from you!
Message me here or email virginia.fallon@fairfaxmedia.co.nz and lets make a date.

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
