Voices in the Wind choir recruiting now
The holidays are over - now is the time to try new things! Come join us. We are a small friendly choir that sings a wide variety of music. We welcome singers of all ages from across greater Wellington. Even if you have never sung in a choir before come along and try. We are starting rehearsals again on Weds 12th Feb 7:30pm St Barnabas Mana, Porirua. We are particularly looking for Altos and Basses, but all are welcome. Poll: Should we be giving the green light to new mining projects? 💰🌲
The Environmental Protection Authority announced this week that a proposed mine in Central Otago (near Cromwell) is about to enter its fast-track assessment process. A final decision could come within six months, and if it’s approved, construction might start as early as mid-2026.
