Find out the difference this funding made to both the schools and students in the sixth of our 10 Good Stories videos. These videos show all the ways Red Cross helped one in five Cantabrians recover from the 2010 and 2011 earthquakes, thanks to the generous donations of people from New Zealand and beyond.

Fluoride is a drug and we should not be medicated against our will through our drinking water. Chronic intake actually has a detrimental effect on tooth enamel and to bones causing among other things, mottled teeth, brittle bones and joint pain. It negatively effects the thyroid gland and can cause permanent damage to the digestive system and nervous system. Even if it's in trace amounts, it accumulates in the body, we cannot filter it out easily and some people drink a lot of water because it is supposed to be good for us. We should be entitled to uncontaminated drinking water. To see how toxic it is, just look up the Material Safety Data Sheet for Sodium Fluoride. An extract is attached. Just wondering what other locals think about it.

Sorry folks - the newspaper is stuck in Christchurch this morning as State Highway 7 is closed due to snow between the turnoff to Hamner and Springs Junction.
We will keep you up to date with progress.
