We have considerable challenges to maintain our current network and be prepared for growth. Maintaining a balance between delivering affordable, clean and sufficient water must be balanced with ensuring our take does not adversely affect the eco-systems of the relevant waterways or result in environmentally harmful discharges.
Connect with us to talk about what we can do together. You can reach us at whaitua@gw.govt.nz. To see what we have been doing visit our Facebook page, and to share what you value about our water and your solutions have your say by following the link below.

While some services are getting harder to access, the CAB is there for people in a way that works for them – whether it’s face to face, by phone or online.
This is the basis of our Awareness Week theme which is “We’re here”. We see this as an opportunity to reinforce the many ways that the CAB is here for people e.g.:
To help
For free
For everyone
Whatever your problem
Face to face, kanohi ki te kanohi
Online - website, online chat
In the local community
To advocate on issues
For your rights
For young and old
For migrants
Come and see us on Friday 13th in Coastlands Garden Court from 10.00am or upstairs in Coastlands five days a week, 9.00am - 4.00pm or ring 04 298 4944.
