Have your say - Speed Management Plan

The Team from Kāpiti Coast District Council

Curious about our draft Speed Management Plan? Head along to one of our drop-in information sessions to learn more about the plan is and why we're doing it.

Join us at:
🏍️ 3 May: Paekākāriki, St Peter's Church Hall, 4.30–6pm
🚴‍♂️ 11 May: Ōtaki Memorial Hall, 4.30–6pm
🚌 13 May: Paraparaumu Beach Market
🛴 19 May: Raumati South Memorial Hall, 4.30–6pm
👣 27 May: Waikanae Community Market

The plan proposes reducing speed limits outside 20 schools, on three roads and in five town centres before 2027. We're also asking for feedback on options for speed management beyond 2027.

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
