Use GPS trackers for your beloved pet

Sushil from Waikanae

I am writing this post because I have seen numerous posts about cats and dogs getting lost.
I am hoping you will find this post useful.
It's agonizing when we worry about our pets.
We use a GPS tracker for our cat which allows us to track her.
After much research, we bought the Tractive GPS tracking device with a subscription early 2020.
It's got several features which you can read at tractive.com...
The cost of the device itself was around $119 + $109 for a 1 year subscription. That's about $19 dollars a month !!!.

I bought a 2 year subscription which allowed me to get a replacement device, in case it got lost.
We have used this very successfully over the last year and we use it intermittently on our dog and cat depending on where we are headed to with the dog.

There are several other trackers in the market but I chose this based on the battery life. The battery lasts around 3-4 days in my experience.
Check out allaboutcats.com...
There is also a NZ based company called Streetwise started last year ( streetwisepets.co.nz...) but I haven't tried the product.

Besides tracking our cat's movements, we also ensure that she is at home for the night.
Statistically, most cats get lost or meet with an accident at night.

Rather than worry ( we have had a fair share of that !!! ), we thought getting a tracking device is a wiser option.
I am hoping that a lot more people will start using trackers on their pets.
