April’s Weather to Mid-Month
The very dry weather of recent months ended with 16mm of rain at the end of the first week, followed by 30mm the following week, associated with the cyclone, which itself was a non-event in Kāpiti, but brought us much-needed rain. We have now had around 47mm, with 70mm being the historic average for the month.
The average daily temperature of 21℃ has been 1.5 above average, the same as March, so it’s looking possible that April will be the sixth summery month, which is fairly rare.
There’s also been plenty of sunshine; up slightly on average.
