Happy New Year! Hope you are enjoying the warm days (and the welcome rain for the garden) as much as we are. During summer the gallery will be open most Friday and Saturday afternoons as well as our usual Sunday 1-4 pm time. Phone/text me (027 602 4214) if you want to check if we are open.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
