Looking for manuka or other native hardwood
Kia ora. My son has been asked to carve a special piece for a 21st birthday next month. We have been trying to source a long piece of either manuka or black maire. It needs to be at least 6ft long-maybe a little shorter, 4inches thick by 6inches wide (sorry Im old school). If anyone has a piece lying or can direct me to a source it would be greatly appreciated. Willing to pay a fair and reasonable price. Can do contactless contact especially if close to Papakura. Thank you.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
