Warning to all

Glenn Torrens from Papakura Community Crimewatch Patrol

This is a reminder to everyone to make certain that everything is secure around your property these TOERAGS are little opportunists and they only need seconds to be in and out with YOUR belongings

From facebook today

"Just witnessed two kids on bikes sneak into a garage across the road and take some stuff in Addison, Bruce Pullman side. A reminder to keep your garage closed if you're not right there. The neighbour had only popped in to put his groceries away so it only takes a few minutes" 😔😔

We see so much of this when on patrol where garage doors are left up and car doors left open.

I was out on patrol with the Takanini NPT trying to highlight this to residents we were able to drive into driveways park, get out, take items of value put it next to the police car then knock on the door to explain that they could have lost everything to these opportunists

Please report any suspicious cars or people to the police they want to stop the crime before it happens

The motto we should all heed

"If it does not look right it most likely is not" DIAL 111

Don't think that you are bothering them it is our job to bother them with suspicious activity

You know your neighbourhood better than the Police

Have a safe day
