Cat hit by car
Unfortunately a small grey cat was hit by a car this morning on the Takanini straight. A little girl, darkish grey, white mustache, white chest and neck, white socks on the back legs. Sadly she died just as she got to the vet. She is at Takanini Vet Associates, she is microchipped but not registered.
Leisure Time POP
we spent Friday night camped at Bobs Leisure Time POP near Glenbrook, grandson loved especially when the train went past all lit up - just watch out for your ears when the engine whistle blows 🙂

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
