Childrens outdoor play equipment - Donations
Hi Neighbours đ
My family are looking at making a safe play area and bbq spot for my nephew, his wife and 1yr old son. My nephews wife was diagnosed with brain cancer just after the birth of their son. It has been a long stressful year for them all. We would love to make a safe area for baby to play in and a bbq space for Mum n Dad to relax. If anyone has any play equipment they are not using or are going to update such as climbing frame, water play table, slide, swings etc and you would like to donate to this family please private message me and Iâll get back to you as soon as possible. We would be very greatful and appreciate your donation. Cheers everyone đ

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to âexuberanceâ? đ„
In The Postâs opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, weâre âallergic to exuberance.â
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps itâs worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens arenât seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days â the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, whoâs made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
